What can I monitor with RecallScan?
RecallScan monitors household products, appliances, and vehicles using the product details you provide. Historical recall data is not available for every product, so coverage can vary.
Does a recall mean my product has failed?
No. A recall can cover products that have not shown any problems. Some recalls are precautionary, addressing a potential issue before incidents are reported. That does not make the notice optional: check whether your model is included and follow the manufacturer’s or agency’s instructions.
How does recall monitoring work?
RecallScan checks aggregated manufacturer and government data for updates every 15 minutes. New recall information is reviewed by our team and added to RecallScan. We compare that information with your product details to identify matches.
Can I monitor more than one home?
Yes. The Home Monitoring plan includes unlimited products, vehicles, and households. Use locations and notes to keep items organized across your homes.
Do I need to download an app?
No download is needed. RecallScan works in a modern web browser on your computer, tablet, or phone.
Which countries are supported?
RecallScan officially supports the United States. Some products may also be sold elsewhere, but our recall data is intended for US users.
Will I see advertisements?
RecallScan does not show traditional advertisements. Educational content may be sponsored.
